COURSE OVERVIEW
The In-Service Master Program at the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Informatics creates an international and multidisciplinary environment. Where students are provided comprehensive training to integrate knowledge and skills from biomedicine and information science. Taught in partnership with TMU-affiliated hospitals, our Program equips students with the ability required to solve problems in biomedical industries, clinical practice, and research, in order to fulfill unmet healthcare needs.
COURSES INTRODUCTION
Many of the Institute's professors come from diverse backgrounds and have expertise in the integrated study of biological and medical information. Our In-Service Master Program features interdisciplinary courses including biomedical informatics, big data analysis (using both geno- and phenotype data), health Internet of Things (IoT), telemedicine & mobile health (mHealth), clinical decision support systems, and artificial intelligence in medicine. Students also participate in internships at biomedical information-related industries.
Our In-Service Master is a 2-year program with a minimum of 30 credits of didactic courses and a 6-credit thesis. In addition to the 18 credits of compulsory courses, students are required to take at least 18 credits from the elective list.
